Welcome to the South Australia DSA

The Disabled Surfers Association South Australia started in 2005 when a group of local surfers volunteered to help those in our community with special needs a chance to enjoy the thrill of surfing.

 

Our first event was held at the Moana Surf Life Saving Club situated on the magnificent Mid Coast and it was an instant success. It worked so well we realised we were on a winner and many years later we are still running three very successful events at Moana beach each year.

 

Our events take place in November, February and March when our dedicated group of volunteers ensure that all our surfers with special needs have a safe and enjoyable day in the surf.

We welcome new volunteers regardless of whether they are good surfers and the reward of putting “smiles on dials” is enough to get you back time and time again.

 

It’s a great day for everyone so participants, carers and volunteers wanting to attend must confirm on email secretary-south-australia@disabledsurfers.org prior to the event.
