Disabled Surfers Association of Australia
Welcome to the Gold Coast DSA
Established in 2004 we have an experienced committee and a dedicated core of volunteers drawn from many parts of the Gold Coast community.
Our “Lets Go Surfing” days are held at Flat Rock beach, Currumbin (off Teemangum Street) – with a great shaded spot in Len Wort Park perfect for post surf snags.
We are supported by various local business and organisations including:
Coastal Fresh / Gold Coast Caravan Sales / STS Marine / The Village Store Currumbin
Gold Coast Tow Trucks / Gold Coast Community Fund / City of Gold Coast
Ignite Design Creative / Burford Blanks / Currumbin Beach Vikings Surf Lifesaving Club
Gold Coast Titans / Coast Signs / Samos Surf Photography
All our events are held at Len Wort Park/Flat Rock Beach, Currumbin.
Click on the event location button above to find our location on GoogleMaps.
All our events require registration via EventBrite for participants, carers and volunteers. Visit our Facebook/Instagram pages (links below) for regular event information and EventBrite registration link.
Our events open from 8.30am for volunteer/participant check-in and we usually commence surfing
around 9.30am. Our day usually finishes around 12.30-1pm and there's a free sausage sizzle for all
(gold coin donation always welcome!)
Events will only be cancelled if there are dangerous conditions such as wild/big surf; strong winds and/or thunder storms. In the event of a cancellation we will post notices on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

"Amazing experience. All the volunteers are friendly and so nice. My boys were making friends all day. Then to get out on that board and feel safe and have such a great time- couldn't say enough about how amazing this is."
