Welcome to the Sydney Branch page. The branch where it all began! From the very humble beginnings when Gary and a few mates got together to take a few disabled people out to now catering for a hundred plus participants and a couple of hundred volunteers – the Hands on Days are huge…exciting and are not to be missed! Held predominately on the northern beach of Sydney our Hands on Days start as the sun rises and goes long into the afternoon.

Our annual event is held at Collaroy Beach just south of the Surf Lifesaving Club.

Events will only be cancelled if there are dangerous conditions such as wild/big surf; strong winds and/or thunder storms. In the event of a cancellation we will post notices on our Facebook page.

The DSA is a total voluntary organisation and very dollar donated goes to the purchase of new equipment and the running of our Hands on Days. Don’t forget every donation over $2 are tax deductible just remember to request an invoice via an email to the Treasurer requesting a tax invoice to be issued to you.
