NEW SOUTH WALES
Welcome to the Sydney DSA
Welcome to the Sydney Branch page. The branch where it all began! From the very humble beginnings when Gary and a few mates got together to take a few disabled people out to now catering for a hundred plus participants and a couple of hundred volunteers – the Hands on Days are huge…exciting and are not to be missed!
Held predominately on the northern beach of Sydney our Hands on Days start as the sun rises and goes long into the afternoon.
We are well supported by the local community and businesses with a special thank you to:
JK Hire (Andre & family) / Aroma Ki Day Spa
And of course all of our volunteers – the dedication and hard work is known and appreciated – and all the DSA crews from around Australia and New Zealand.
Our annual event is held at Collaroy Beach just south of the Surf Lifesaving Club.
Participants to arrive at 9.30am to register for a 10am start.
Volunteers can arrive from 6.30am to commence setting up prior to participant arrivals.
Our event generally concludes at approximately 2.30pm
Click on the event location button above to find our location on GoogleMaps.
We also hold other Invitational Only Events – details will be posted when available.
Events will only be cancelled if there are dangerous conditions such as wild/big surf; strong winds and/or thunder storms. In the event of a cancellation we will post notices on this site and on our Facebook page.
